Charles Maze was trained in traditional film photography, then was an intern with the famous Harcourt studio, he definitely belongs to the generation of the digital revolution. He exposed himself at an early stage to the various techniques and software that support the digital treatment of photographs. Concerned with specializing too early, Charles decided to build a broad range of experiences in various domains of photography: art, fashion, interior design, architecture, landscapes but also portraits and documentaries. Dedicating a significant amount of his time to his own creations and research, Charles Maze first introduced his Anamorphoses at his individual exhibition called “Sorcières” (witches) in early 2013, in Paris. The success of this exhibition has allowed him to start building a network of loyal and regular buyers not only in Europe but also in Asia and in the United States. Artist made Photographer or Photographer made Artist, Charles stays away from the fads and belongs to the line of photographers who can blend our contemporary world with a deeper reflection on images as symbols and archetypes.
For his collaboration with the Galerie Chevalier, Charles put his glance on the collection of antique tapestries of the gallery. His photographs are available in 15.75 in, 19.68 in, 29.52 in, 39.37 in, and 47.24 in.
