Woven in wool and silk (warp in wool, weft in wool and silk)

17th century

 

Signed in the right side braid PD, probably for Pierre Damour, a weaver active in Reims and Paris during the first half of the 17th century.
One can also think of Daniel Pepersack, insofar as the P is above the D and that one tends (in our time, at least) to write the initial of his first name first and then that of his last name. The two weavers worked together between 1638 and 1650.
