He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and Paris and at the Académie Julian. Parallel to his work as a painter, he creates tapestry cartoons, frescoes, and stained glass windows. He took part in the Venice Biennale in 1942. His tapestries and paintings are part of the collections of several museums : Museums of Modern Art of Paris, Lyon, St Etienne, Sao Paulo, Caracas...) He joins the group " Témoignage "1 and was a member of the association of cartoon painters.
